Hello Weekend!
Hopefully today you will have more time for relaxing and just taking things slow and easy. Well alright reality check, if like me, you have a mountain of house chores, then after completing everything on your to-do list then wouldn't it make much sense to take a break and enjoy your me-time? =)
Now, when I think of a spa, I have a vision of a nice and cozy bath. I love taking baths especially when it gets cold (right now in Toronto). The only problem is, bubble baths send my skin into a dry-as-sahara-spiral. So most of the bubble bath thingies you can get are no-gos. Do not enter. Danger biohazard. lol
So what do I use? I really love some of Lush bath products aimed for dry skin. I think Lush stores are great to look at, but man, sometimes the scents can get to you, you know? Then all of them things start smelling like one big huge lush of sameness *wink*
Anyway, I am naturally drawn to anything vanilla scented so I gravitate towards Lush things that are vanilla-y (<-- yes a new word). For baths I would almost always drop a bath bomb, Butterball, in my baths. I think my bath tub is a bottomless pit though because one Butterball is just not enough! I have to use two for the bath to be sufficiently moisturizing! Why can't they make them things bigger?
Another one I like to use and I usually have a backup in my stash is a bath melt called Floating Island. I actually like to mix one Butterball and then one Floating Island in my bathtub. I find that this combo actually makes the water feel very "soft" and creamy. I know that might sounds strange, but to me I can only describe soft water as silky water?
Take this opportunity to put on a nice facial mask. Because why not?
Then, I usually have my tablet in hand and read my favourite blogs or watch youtube videos while I'm relaxing in the bath. I would also have a candle burning. One that I loooveee, that is not limited/seasonal edition, is a candle from Bath and Body Works called Japanese Cherry Blossom. It just smells so nice! But in case you are wondering, some seasonal candles that I liked and that I did get from them are Fresh Balsam, Vanilla Bean Noel, and Cranberry Woods.
Now the only thing missing is some tea. I usually can be found drinking green tea. I'm not really that picky but I do really like these.
After your bath, you can continue with the pampering session by painting your nails. Lounge around with a book. Watch a movie. Cuddle with your special someone. =)
That is all for Spa Saturday! Tomorrow will be my last post in this mini-series so keep reading.
xoxo
