Holy Grail: Sunscreen Edition - Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50 PA+++

The Japanese has done it again! Honestly, their skincare is the BOMB. And so cheap too! Today I'm going to talk about a sunscreen I have been using for a good 3 months now and I am super satisfied and happy I found it. I bought this sunscreen while I was shopping in Tokyo in the basement floor of an Electronics store (yah i know!), of all places. Actually the store was the entire building and each floor sold something specific (i.e. one floor just for tvs, another just for cellphones, etc etc.) 

But I digress, the basement level had all these wonderful beauty items! Here take a look.

So beside the wall of haircare goodies was another wall filled with sunscreens. There were so many to choose from. I knew I would need sunscreen for the next two weeks for my face because I only brought a body sunscreen in my suitcase for this trip.

Because I was travelling, I didn't have WIFI/internet on my cellphone. I couldn't look up any reviews or product recommendations. So I went in blind. It was between the Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence and this other sunscreen by (Shiseido) Anessa.

Conveniently, they had testers right by the products. I swatched both and the overwhelming winner was Biore. The smell was a very pleasant light lemony scent that does not linger for very long. It's not a fake lemony scent either, like the ones you can find as car fresheners? It did not leave a white cast and it was absorbed so quickly I was taken aback. In a good way! The finish was very smooth, silky, and pleasant. None of the greasiness of the sunscreens I have tested before. Needless to say, I was sold sold sold! 

 I have a very cautious approach when it comes to buying sunscreens. They usually break me out and its very hard for me to pinpoint which ingredient it is exactly that I react from. And so I am very happy to report that with the Biore sunscreen I have not broken out at all from using it.
Of course, I do have to give some of that credit to double cleansing.  Double cleansing at night is very important when using sunscreens so that you can be sure the product is completely gone from the skin and won't clog the pores (which usually causes the breakouts). 

After all this raving, you may be wondering where you can get a hold of this sunscreen. I have searched online and I found it being sold in Amazon. If anyone else knows where to get this please comment below! Thanks guys and talk again later xoxo
