July 2014 Monthly Favourites

Hello lovelies. Today I am excited to tell you what I've been loving this month in terms of beauty and non-beauty things. Let's get started.

First, I have been loving this 5-in-1 skincare gem called Asahi Shizuku Pack Gel. Its a cream with a very light gel texture that applies on your skin like silky water. It claims to contain your entire skincare routine in one convenient tub - toner, milky lotion, beauty essence, cream, and pack (I think 'pack' means "mask" in many asian brands)

True or not, I do like this cream very much and I have been using it in place of my usual serum and moisturizer in the mornings. Makeup layers really well on top of this gel and I honestly think its a godsend for those too humid days when layering skincare is not always the best feeling. I bought mine in person but I found an online reseller here

Next up is another skincare item. This time, its a clay mask called Rules of Pore Morroco Ghassoul Cream Pack by Too Cool For School.  That is a long name for a white clay mask. If like me, you find that name a tiny bit excessive, release your pre-conceived notions because actually this is such a great mask! I would even say its better than the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores. Honestly, what's with these names eh.

Just to make a quick comparison, the ghassoul cream pack is very light and easy to spread. It also does not dry into stiff mud on your face, which makes it so much easier to wipe off and clean with a damp cloth. That is one of my pet peeves with the origins charcoal mask. Its so hard to take off! I can also easily spread the ghassoul cream pack with my fingers. I find that with the origins charcoal mask, I would need to use a flat foundation brush to spread it around evenly. Uneven application means uneven drying time and well you know, who has the time to wait for that *sarcasm*

Anyway, I bought the Ghassoul Cream pack in person but I found it on Korea Depart in here.

My third favourite for this month is a concealer for RMK. I find myself reaching for this every single day to hide imperfections and conceal under eye dark circles. I am not sure why but I have never really suffered from dark circles in the past. However, I think as I get older, it becomes more of a daily problem. I love that this concealer has two shades that I can mix and match to whatever i'm trying to hide. Also, for a high end brand, this concealer pact is fairly priced!

Non-beauty wise, I am really loving this game on android (I don't have an apple device so I can't vouch for the apple store). Anyway, the game is called Meow Meow Star Acres. I know. Lol. Let's all have a tiny giggle for that name. In the game, you buy cats and you put them to work in your farm - planting, cooking, and caring for animals. I am addicted to the game haha. Its super cute!

I also got a subscription to Next Issue. And wow my goodness, I read fast and I always felt that buying all the magazines to read one time is not a wise way to spend my monies. However, with Next Issue I get access to so many of the magazines I love for one price. That sounds like an ad, doesn't it?

So, that's about it. I hope your July went amazing =)

xoxo
