The Sunday Scoop #1

Hi guys!

Welcome to my new series of posts for Sunday. As the first of the lot, I thought it would be appropriate to do a bit of explaining. I made this blog primarily as a creative outlet in my otherwise non-creative world (lol). However, I do sometimes want to share some of the going- on's in my little life and for those of you who are interested in tiny glimpses then thank you and I hope to make this series more enjoyable for you. I do understand that some of you might just be interested in strictly beauty related posts so of course those will remain to be the bulk of the entries here.

Right, so as for the title, I named it a "Scoop" because well its just a big mixture or scoop of everything. Like that scoop of ice cream you can't have right now because its so darn cold outside. Can we talk about that?!? Who else is tired of this winter? This has got to be one of the worst I have had. But then you know, its Canada, it snows here. Not a surprise right?

Anyway, I have gorged myself with shopping the past month and so for the start of 2014 I am trying to be a good girl and not buy anything. I won't necessarily call it a No-Buy since last time I tried to do that, it sadly ended the next day. So instead of putting labels on things, let's just call it a lifestyle choice. Project Not-Buying-As-Much-January. Sounds perfect.

And as a perfect segue, (and totally a sarcastic one at that), has anyone else seen the Final Cut Spring 2014 collection that Nars is releasing??? Oh my god. Those pink blushes are beautiful. But no, Cari, no! You must stick to your guns and ignore temptation. Who else thinks that this post has now become an inner monologue? =) Sorry about that.

In attempt to make this post just a little bit useful, I will link an article I have read this morning about cold showers and its benefits. You can read the full thing here. Brrrr..
I just can't imagine doing this in our current deep freeze.

See how I rounded the post up and ended with where I started (rant about the cold weather).

What are you doing this weekend?
