Hello ladies (and any gents?). Can you believe its mid-September??? Soon it will be snowing outside and the christmas shopping will begin. *shudder*
Don't get me wrong. I love buying things. Sometimes too much. My husband jokingly calls me a hoarder because I like to have multiple of things. I hate running out of something I use daily! Please tell me I'm not alone in my hoarding ways...
But let's move on. Here are some of my favourite products this summer!
- Kate Sommerville Eradicate Acne Treatment - this blemish banisher gets rid of stubborn breakouts stat. I mean yes the smell is horrid because of the sulphur, like rotten eggs, but I would rather go to bed with this on my face than walk around during the day with a big red pimple on my face. Vain? Maybe.
- Kate Sommerville Oil Free moisturizer - if like me, you are dry (aka flaky) everwhere else but can get greasy on your t-zone, then my friend, meet your new bestie. This moisturizer is magical. No joke. This still has a creamy consistency as opposed to the gel versions of other oil free moisturizers out in the market (I used to use one from Clinique - Moisture Surge) so that translates to having to work it in the skin a bit more but you will be happy you did. The finish is amazing on its own or over makeup. Not too siliconey, if that is even a word. But still smooth and silky! I have yet to meet a Kate Sommerville product I don't like. This one gets a serious two-thumbs up. I actually just finished this jar and have officially bought my 2nd, that's how I know a product is a keeper (if I go back for more hehe)
- Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara - my love for this mascara is still going strong. You want volumized, lengthened and defined lashes that don't smudge nor droop down? This is for you! It's a pain to take off mind you, so make sure you have an oil to remove in the evening.
- (Shiseido) Majorlica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner - during my last trip to Tokyo (Are you sick of hearing about it yet?) I picked up 4 of these bad boys. Yes, hoarding tendencies... but look its so good that I needed to bring home 4 with me. For those of you who want to stick a pin in my eye for mentioning a product not readily available in north america do not worry! You can buy this at yesstyle here.
- YSL Creme de Blush in 01 Velvety Peach - after eye-ing this beauty for a long time (more than 6 months?), I finally have it in my eager grasp! So easy to apply and very flattering. I think I will buy 07 Rose Quartz next. More hoarding lol.
- Dior Diorskin Nude BB Creme in Fair 002 - it may be that the shade I have it is a tad lighter than my skin tone but I find that it works for my yellow-to-neurtral undertone. I think its the first non-asian BB creme I actually loved! The finish is fantastic, very smooth and blurs pores and imperfections. The only thing I wish it had was a higher SPF (only SPF 10 for this one).
Yup, its a short list. I tried to only include products that I am super in love with. Otherwise it would be "likes" and not favourites, non? =)
Let's all strap in for fall and I will definitely give an updated favourites for the colder months ahead. Talk again soon xoxo.
