Mono Cream Shadow Look

Most days I can't be bothered to use 2 or more shades of shadow on my lids, specially if I'm just stepping out for a quick errand or two. For the majority of the time, I rely on my cream shadows to create a simple yet sophisticated eye look that makes it seem like I spent more than 2 seconds blending and faffing.

I know that there are a lot of formulas and price ranges out there for cream shadows. But I find that the Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadows deliver without causing a recession to your wallet. Yes, of course, these still cost more than the drugstore varieties but I find that they are definitely worth shelling out for especially since they look so flattering on the eyes and so easy to blend in with just the fingers!

For a simple and sophisticated look I use the shade Topaz, described as a "soft golden beige" on Sephora's website.

Using my ring finger, I do an easy swipe of this across both lids and whoa-la! I look so much more awake! It also makes my eyes look bigger, its just that kind of shade.

For a deeper and smokier look, there's the shade Icon, described as a "bronze" color on Sephora's site.

Same way, I apply with my ring finger. I add more along the outer edges for a smoky eye in less than 1 minute.

These cream shadows are also highly pigmented that you won't need much and so I find that they do last for a while. I store mine upside down (lid on table) so as to keep them moist for as long as possible. I learned this trick somewhere, I can't remember now. Probably a blog or youtube video as I love reading/watching those.

xoxo
